All Dressed Up For October

Welcome to the Halloween version of my little blog.  It will continue to change, little by little, right up until the big day!

I see a lot of you have dressed up your blogs for October, and they look great!  Just a quick post today (busy, busy) but I couldn't let the day go by without saying Happy October to all of you.  Enjoy the first day of the best month of the whole year!

Hey, it's looking pretty spooky and festive over here....I like it! It was cool here tonight...was cool down where you are? I couldn't believe it. We went to this downtown street party thing and I actually had to put on my jacket! Of course I'm VERY cold natured, but still. It was like October 1st and the weather cooled down like clockwork. I'm so excited! :o)

Why thank you! :-) Yes it's been much cooler down here too. We've had the windows open for a couple days now. Although I keep my air set at 80 degrees anyway. I get cold easily too. The street party sounds like fun, our local festival isn't until the 23rd. I can't wait!

We keep our thermostat at 79 during the summer and it suits me just fine. I love when it starts getting cool, but is not cold yet. The beginning of Fall and the beginning of Spring are my favorite times of the year down here.

Is you festival on the 23rd a Autumn/Halloween festival, or just a street festival? We went to a 1st Friday of the Month street festival, but it wasn't that great so we ended up leaving after checking out the Halloween display one of the stores. I wish Florida had more Autumn festivals...like pumpkin lighting and scarecrows etc. Although it's so hot here the pumpkins would probably rot away fairly quickly. I think FL was why 'Funkins' were invented...ha!

Our local festival is a Halloween one, but as far as I know it's the only one. It's a whole big thing where the little kids come dressed up and can trick or treat from the many sponsor booths. There's even a costume contest (for the kids)! We have 1st Friday festivals here too, I've just never been to one.
