Winter Hibernation

I read a post yesterday by Danni over at The Whimsical Cottage about hibernating and I realized that's exactly what I've been doing lately!  Now that the whirlwind of Holidays is over and packed away, I find myself wanting to do nothing more than curl up in front of the TV whenever I'm home.  Even things I know I should be doing end up taking a back seat.  However, it is that time of year. Winter tends to be a bleak and dreary season outside which inevitably leads to a lot of couch time.  And, let's face it, the Holidays are exhausting!

So I say, while we wait for the return of the Sun at Imbolc, let's be lazy!  Revel in being unmotivated and just take it easy for a couple weeks.  Do only what must be done and enjoy a little relaxation.  The wheel will be turning again soon so, as much as possible, do what the current season dictates and hibernate!

I don't celebrate the Sun at Imbolc. For me it's a stretching time, time to slowly get back into the groove. Ostara is the time for me to look to the Sun again.

Great post Heathen, I look just like that polar bear right now.
Well happy hibernating to you! I've been doing plenty of that myself. Not sure if I already said this in a previous comment, I probably did....but I LOVE your new wall paper and banner her. The neutrals with owl just speak of winter...so perfect for the season. Enjoy the Full Moon!

Hear hear for idleness! Thanks for this post missus; I don't normally need much encouragment to be lazy but it's nice to have it endorsed by someone else ;) Hope all is well with you and have a wonderful lazy weekend!
