Happy New Year!

Do you have your 7-day candle?  How about your list of things to bring into the new year?  I did a post on resolutions last year so I won't bore you with a repeat post.

I hope you all have at least one thing you want to carry over into 2012.  I know it was a rough year for a lot of us, but tomorrow is a brand new day!

So, remember the lessons learned along the way and make some happy plans for a good year to come.  Happy New Year my friends!

Best wishes for a Fabulous New Year ... for everyone. Ok, what's a 7 day candle? I admit it, I don't know everything and am not ashamed to ask if I don't know.

Ok....I just looked back at your New Year post from last year....I know what a 7 day candle is now! I would be really nervous to leave one lit for 7 days....without blowing it out at night while I was sleeping. Where do you leave yours?

ArtSings...A 7-day candle is one of those tall skinny jars filled with a candle. You can find them at any dollar store or in the international aisle of your local grocery. Typically they feature religious images on the jars, but you can get the ones with no image.

Celia...I keep mine in the kitchen on top of the microwave. Because it's in a jar, the flame is contained and it really doesn't get that hot. My mom keeps hers in the very middle of her dining room table. Anywhere it will be stable and have clearance above and beside it is fine. If you're really worried, try putting it in your bathroom next to the sink away from hanging towels (that's what I used to do).

Oh, I know what you mean now. I learned about these candles years ago from my Puerto Rican mother-in-law. Love them, thanks for reminding me about them.

A brand new day, and a brand new year :) Yup, 2011 was pretty shitty but I've a feeling this next one's gonna be a good one. Hope you had a lovely holiday and I'm looking forward to keeping up to date with your posts a little better in the coming months. Sorry I've been so crap recently x
