Spring Fever

That's right, I've caught Spring fever.  It's just been so beautiful here for the past week that I can't help myself.  A big "I'm sorry" to all of you still stuck in snow.  It'll melt eventually.  Until then, I've posted a few new art works on my crafts blog Heathen's Hobbies that are all about Spring!  If you've got a minute, hop on over and take a look.

I think I've had Spring Fever for awhile now. I'm so ready for the cold to give way to warmer weather, sunny days, baby animals..the works.

You know that's so weird, I was just calling over here for a little catch up and while I was waiting for your page to pop up I though 'that's right, she has another blog and I haven't called into in ages'. I was planning on heading over for a nosy even before I seen this post. Well, off I go!

Happy New Year!

Do you have your 7-day candle ?  How about your list of things to bring into the new year?  I did a post on resolutions last year so I won't bore you with a repeat post. I hope you all have at least one thing you want to carry over into 2012.  I know it was a rough year for a lot of us, but tomorrow is a brand new day! New Year's Eve Tradition

I'm not one for setting resolutions.  I have nothing against them mind you, but if I really want to do something I do it no matter what time of year it is.  Also, I think by making this list of new resolutions and "wiping the slate clean", we're missing out on something.  You don't really want to erase every aspect of this year, so instead I offer you a new way to look at the New Year.  Some of you may already do this. Every New Year's Eve I burn candles with intent.  My bayberry candle gets burned on Christmas Eve as it's tradition in my family.  Instead, I burn a white 7-day candle to clear out any negativity (white for purity) and I get a few small tapers representing the things I'd like to invite into my home this year.  Usually it's blue for health, orange (or yellow) for happiness, and green for abundance.  Health, wealth, and happiness...a time honored toast for the New Year.  But use whatever you want or need.  You know the d...
